simple but have to take note too..rite?

Fondant cake is the topic for today... Salam everyone...
I am not in a pink of health rite now..but i am still thinking bout my BIG DAY..normal rite?79 days to go..seesms so near lol..

During the solemnization..the list is totally done...and I am implementing it one by one..will tell ya the list on the next entry..should arrange it properly according to the priority..BUDGET is the main thing to link with all these stuffs, aite?

Therefore, I am focusing on the remeh thing first as I had list all the necessary things to be done according to my planner...

To many folks, even the pros, covering a cake in fondant icing is scary and avoided at all costs. It has a beautiful satin like finish that is desired by many Brides, but it is extremely difficult to make the traditional Fondant icing. So much so, that there are a few companies that are willing to sell you their product for $6 per pound and up. That will cover an 8-inch two-layer cake. If you do the numbers, you will quickly realize that a three-tier cake is going to be a big headache and costly. The worst thing about this problematic and expensive cake icing is the fondant icing doesn’t taste good and is usually peeled off the slice of cake, like an orange rind, and left on the plate.  (source: http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm )

upacara memotong kek macam dah jajdi trend la skrg...tp i dun want it to be a trend..i am planning to do this as a gifts to the guests..boleh ke camtu?hope so...and hopefully they will enjoy the cake...because setiap rezeki yg dijamah oleh guests tu seperti mendoakan kebahagiaan kami kelak... =)

Fondant is a type of frosting or covering used on cakes and cupcakes. There are two kinds of fondant. Each kind uses a different technique and creates a specific look. The two main types of fondant used on a cake are pourable fondant and rolled fondant. While both can be used on cakes, rolled fondant is used more often.Rolled fondant is a dry, firm fondant that is rolled out with a rolling pin and draped over a cake. Poured fondant is a liquid, pourable fondant that is poured on the cake and spread quickly before it dries.

  • Both kinds of fondant for cakes are edible, but people have the misconception that both taste good. Pourable fondant tastes relatively good, because it is cooked and often flavored. Rolled fondant is not cooked or usually flavored, so there is not much taste to it. Rolled fondant is for looks only and is often peeled off the cake before eating.
